Safety Specialist - Mining

Trinity Construction Materials, Inc. is searching for an Safety Specialist - Mining in our Ferris, TX plant. As an Safety Specialist - Mining, you'll be responsible for carrying out the organization's environmental health and safety programs. You'll validate compliance of procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities. You'll also ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations within an aggregate environment.
What you will do:
Conduct audits and investigations to ensure compliance of government safety and health laws, standards and industrial hygiene in accordance with regulations set forth by OSHA, MSHA, EPA and DOT.
Monitor environmental conditions including housekeeping, paint, welding fumes and hazardous waste.
Conduct employee Safety / Environmental training.
Audit and maintain safety records.
Prepare reports in compliance with regulatory requirement.
Prepare reports and records for worker's compensation.
Make medical service appointments for injured employees.
Respond to workplace safety and security emergencies, issues and concerns.
Investigate employee's complaints concerning unsafe working conditions.
Investigate accidents and promotes safety-conscious training programs and work performance.
Provide safety performance measures.
Determine root cause analysis.
What you will need:
In-depth knowledge of State and Federal regulations to include Mine Safety and Health Administration provisions relative to safety, health and environmental issues.
Ability to maintain records and generate quick and timely reports.
Ability to maintain effective work relationships with company employees and management.
Bachelor's Degree or 5 years' experience operating in an aggregate mining environment.
Preferred: Associate Safety Professional Certification and/or Certified Mine Safety Professional Certification.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
