N/A Job Summary Rides on truck and collects refuse on designated route.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location.
Gathers and carries containers from individual yards or locations along route and dumps refuse from containers onto truck.
Starts hoisting device that raises refuse bin attached to rear of truck.
Dumps contents into opening in enclosed truck body.
Gathers separated recycling materials and dumps them into recycling bins on garbage truck.
Assists in unloading and cleaning garbage truck at dump site.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties.
Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience Required:
Six months previous experience.
Preferred:
High school diploma or G.
E.
D B.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements None required.

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required None required.

Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) part of the work day; This position is typically required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis; and in excess of 50 pounds on an occasional basis, as a part of the normal workday.
